| When
I was just a young rock fan I seemed to be at a show at least two or
three times a week and bands toured from the tip of the country to the
end, some even did numerous shows in the same city. Those days are
long gone but I still look back on those days with fond memories of
bands long gone. Some of those bands have seen a resurgence in
their popularity and there are some that I long to see return to these
shores.
One band that I saw many
moons ago and long for them to return to these shores are Cinderella.
Well if the rumours are true then all my wishes may be coming true in
2010 when Tom Keifer (vocals,
guitar), Eric Brittingham (bass), Jeff LaBar (guitar) and Fred Coury
(drums) are rumoured to return.
But for now
those of you, myself included, who wish to be reminded of the band we
loved so dearly in the 80’s, Frontiers Records have released the bands
live show in Uncasville, Connecticut, which was recorded on July 21st,
2005 at the Mohegan Sun Casino. This
show is what all the fans of the band remember about Keifer and the
boy’s, good time rock n' roll with a heady mix of bluesy rock that
soon became the bands trademark. This
album features all your old favourites from the likes of ‘Shake Me’
to ‘Hot And Bothered’ and everything in between. They're
all here ‘Somebody Same Me’, ‘Nobody’s Fool’, all the greats
from the band and in the live arena where they were meant to be heard. This
is the perfect reminder of the band at their best, so dig out your
spandex and back comb what’s left of your locks and climb on the last
train from 'Heartbreak Station' once more or take the ‘Gypsy Road’,
but don’t ‘Fall Apart At The Seams’ before you get there and
purchase the album and prepare yourself for 2010.
