Artist: Danger Danger
   Title: Revolve
   Label: Frontiers Records

Some dominant facts that will remain deep in the hearts of all Danger Danger fans are: in 1993 Ted Poley leaves the band, in 2004 Ted returns and the band blew away 25,000 strong at Sweden Rocks and now in 2009 Danger Danger return with a new album.

Yes you better believe it, the boys from NYC return with 'Revolve' an album that is pure Danger Danger from the word go, as Poley, Ravel, Marcello and West return with what is quite possibly their best album since ‘Screw It’.

The album opens up with ‘That’s What I’m Talking About’ and in an instant it's hard to believe Poley has been away, as that timeless melodic vocal of his still hits the same peaks it did way back in 1989, when their self titled album first hit the selves.

The album is pure Melodic Rock as it continues with ‘Ghost Of Love’ and the great ‘Killin Love’, both tracks are what the fans have been waiting for, great D2 tracks, but if you're into the band you’ll know the band have already put together some great mid tempo rockers over the years and this album has a few corkers one being ‘Hearts On The Highway’.  This one shows how the band’s song writing has matured over their 20 year stint in the business, there's less of the sexual innuendoes on this album, while still retaining that party rock feel that have made the band so popular amongst the fans on the genre.

The band have also been known to knock out a great ballad from time to time and one stand out track on the album for sure has to be ‘Fugitive’, this is where Poley shows why he has been a miss to these types of songs and why his solo projects have been so popular.

‘Keep on Keepin’ On’ and ‘Rocket To Your Heart’ are true blue D2 songs that could have come off any of the early albums but still sounding fresh.  I think that’s what a great D2 album has, it's timeless and this album ranks as one of their best.

Another aspect of the bands previous albums has been that fun factor and ‘F.U.$’ will sure put a smile on your face.  This top-notch party rock song is one of their best.  Then it's back to the groove filled hard rock with another of my favourites off the album ‘My Beautiful Regret’ and which is followed with the sublime ‘Never Give Up’, again Poley’s vocals show their endless melodic qualities once more.

The album closes with ‘Dirty Mind’, a track that starts off with a Who styled intro before Poley takes over and makes it a D2 for sure and which rounds off a great return for the band and an album that will put a Joker smile on the face of fans all over the world
