'1920' is the follow up single to the highly acclaimed double A-side single ‘Alone And’/'Easy Weakness' from Scottish Electro Rockers Darkwater. The band are led by Geordie lass Lora, who herself was recently voted Super Vixen by Bizarre Magazine readers and who has a voice that would stop a bullet, such is the power behind this 23 year old. '1920' is far from the dance fusion of the normal electro pop, but is a fusion of both the harder rock elements of streaming guitars mixed with the electronic keyboard sound of the early eighties and with Lora’s powerful vocals, the band have that unique thing of being just that unique. Plus with such a talent as Anthrax’s Ian Scott lending his time to mix the single, then you know that the band must have that extra something. 'Left Behind' the second track is a more of the same with the hard hitting guitar work blending well with the less obvious keyboards on this one. If you were wondering what the band sounded live then this single takes all the wondering out of the equation, as it has a live version of ‘Find What We Take’, which is equally as impressive and shows that Lora can also deliver the goods in the live arena. Finally if you're wondering what Lora actually looks like, then check out the two videos firstly ‘1920’ and secondly ‘Alone And’, then you too will be able to see why the readers of Bizarre got it right.
