'Standing
on the edge of Forever' is the second CD album from this very promising
Philadelphia trio. With a sound described as rock/punk n' roll it is
reminiscent of the mighty Rocket from the Crypt meets Offspring, with a
touch of The Almighty thrown in for good luck!.
Notable tracks include 'Heck of a Guy' - a track that must have the
crowd jumping at live gig's with it's catchy chorus and razor sharp
guitar riffs. 'All-E-All' is another track that will have you
singing the chorus after just one listen.
It's quite heavy but also very danceable, almost frenzied in fact.
Public transport may not be an obvious subject for a punk/rock album but
the Dead 50's get away with it on 'Short Bus'. Yet another track that
will leave you wondering why you haven't heard of the Dead 50's on the
likes of MTV and in the national rock magazines.
An extremely promising new band destined for very big things indeed.
You could put on almost any track off this album in a club and the floor
would be full from the very first line. This is one band and one album
you would be a fool to miss out on.
There's so much good material on this album it's unbelievable.
Fingers crossed they decide one day soon to come across the pond and
blow our minds with their music. I say blow our minds because that's
exactly the effect this album had on me, and there's not many I can say
that about.
They're fun, they're loud and they know how to party!
