Artist: Diamond Dogs
   Title: Bound To Ravage
   Label: Fading Ways Music

The Diamond Dogs are a band that I have seen perform live a number times over their ten-year career.  They've always come across as a very hard working band and one that believes in their product.

'Bound To Ravage' is the bands UK debut release, although those of you already familiar with the band will already recognize a couple of tracks on this album. 'Bite Off', 'Goodbye To Jill', and 'Hardhitter' which already feature on the 'As Your Greens Turn Brown' album the band released back in 2001 on Feedback Boogie Records.
However, the rest of the album is totally new material.

The Dogs style have always produced some fine examples of good time boogie rock that lays its roots very much in the late 70's. The similarities to the Faces and The Rolling Stones are obvious. Over the years I've even heard newer UK based bands cite the Diamond Dogs as an inspiration to the music they themselves create so that can't be bad can it?

With this album the band bring forth much more of the same type of quality songs they did with their earlier album. This is most definitely a feel good album that simply doesn’t try to be contentious, or political, or world changing. It's just six guys doing what they enjoy and that’s rock n roll. Well done lads.

Fans of their earlier release will love this one too, forget the fact you've already got three of the songs and lap up the new stuff. Simply wonderful.
