With the decline of good honest rock music in the late nineties, the new millennium has see the influx of bands from the eighties taking it upon themselves to put the record industry back on track.  They're doing this by bringing the sounds that made a generation who far more musically inclined towards bands and musicians, and not any of these so called bands who don’t even play instruments on stage and yet still call themselves a band.

In the late 80’s an advert for a Renault R5 introduced a band into the anoles of time with their track ‘Here I Am’, a track that literally put the band in the international map, that band were Dominoe.

Now in 2008 the founding members Robert Papst and Jorg Sieber have rekindled the flame the band started in 1988 and revive the Dominoe name with a new album marking the bands 20th anniversary.  This new album features 13 brand new tracks as well as new versions of ‘Here I Am’ and ‘Lets Talk About Life’.

This album highlights why the eighties was so special, the mixture of music that made the mainstream was phenomenal and the Rock bands dominated the scene.  From the Heavy Metal to the more Melodic Rock and AOR guitar oriented, Rock sure did rule the airwaves.

Now Dominoe have put together an album of pure Melodic Rock that takes you back to the glory days of the genre.

The album gets underway with ‘Yesterday Was Yesterday’ and instantly you're thrown back to when music was music, with great songs written by great songwriters and this band still have that magic sound, even though the main bulk of the songs on the album are new there’s still that air of nostalgia about them.

With great AOR moments like ‘Raining’, ‘Don’t Touch Me - I Like It’, the stunning ‘Irresistible’ and of course ‘Here I Am’ and 'Let's Talk About Life’. This is great summer time driving album, if we had a summer that is, but with this one on the car stereo the grey clouds will be swept away with the pure Melodic typhoon that is Dominoe and the sun will shine once more.
