This is the third guitar album I’ve reviewed this month
from those chaps at Provogue Records and I must say is the best of the
three. Not that the other two were bad,
far from it, but this album is really
something special.
Michael Katon’s boogie blues rock is just magnificent
on this new release. The opening track
‘Back to your Cages’ is just superb and will
have your feet tapping from the first few chords to the last.
The song sets you up perfectly for the rest of the
album.
The more traditional blues tracks aren’t forgotten the
likes of ‘Need It Awful Bad’ and ‘Luv A Dog’. But
it’s the likes of ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Man,
‘In The Land Of Rock ‘n’ Roll’,
and the down right brilliant 'Motor Cycle Blues’
that make this album one of the best guitar player albums I’ve heard for a
while. |
