Band: Waterclime
Title: The Astral Factor
Label:  Lion Music

Waterclime is the accumulation of years of writing songs and music with no real intent on focusing them on producing an album, but the collective works of Mr. Vintersorg have finally been put down in album form.

The album is all Vintersorg with the exception of a few guest appearances on a few tracks.  But it’s the extremely multi talented Mr. V that really is the force behind ‘The Astral Factor’.  With this album he’s taken the 70’s progressive rock influences of the likes of Jethro Tull and Yes and brought them bang up to date.  He has also thrown in some aspects of Scandinavian folk mixed with a little unprocessed organ and mellotron.

The resulting album is rich in melody and form and isn’t to demanding on the senses.  This is an album that takes a few listens to fully appreciate it's complexity and form, but is well worth it in the end.

With outstanding tracks like ‘Painting Without Colours’ that will just send you on a magical musical ride, the majestic ‘Floating’, and the excellent cover of ‘Midnight Flyer’.

If you're into the likes of early Yes and Tull and the gentle progressive rock then this is a must buy album for you.
