The latest album from the Ginger & Co is a compilation of B-sides and songs that Ginger described as tracks not good enough for their latest studio album, ‘The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed’. But still this is worth purchasing, even if you are a die-hard fan and have bought the singles. With ‘Coupled With’ you have them all on one CD and are easily at hand.

If you are not a die hard fan then why should you buy this album? Well I’ll tell why. It’s because if these tracks were not worthy of putting on the bands previous albums, then you really should go and buy the rest of the albums. Because my dear friends, if this is the quality of the so called poor tracks that got thrown on the cutting room floor, then the stuff on the albums must be something special (and they are).

From the first track ‘Stormy In The North, Karma In The South’, to the excellent cover of the ‘Cheers’ theme, to the fast paced ‘Eager To Leave Ex’ and ‘Better Than Cable’. Even the candidate for the longest title ever ‘You got to go through what you’ve got to go through to get what you want, but you got to know what you want to get you through what you got to go Through’ is a monster title to get your local DJ to play but is a true example of just how diverse and talented Ginger is as a song writer. A side of The Wildhearts that seems to be overlooked at times as the bands antics off stage make better headlines in the music press.

‘Coupled With’ is an album of twenty tracks worthy of The Wildhearts name.
