Band: Wobbler
Title: Hinterland
Label: The Lasers Edge

Norwegian symphonic rock band Wobbler have been creating a bit of a stir since their appearance at NEARfest 2005 back in July.  Their style of progressive rock which is heavily influenced by the likes progressive rock giants Emerson Lake & Palmer, Genesis , and King Crimson to name a few.

To call their tracks epic would be an understatement, as the title track is over twenty-eight minutes long.  Longer than some people's relationships.  The album has only four tracks on it but as each one unfolds the majesty of Wobbler is there for all to enjoy.

This album might not be to everybody's taste, but the die hard prog rock fans who grew up with the likes of Hawkwind and those other bands mentioned earlier will appreciate the complexity of this album which took over six years to write.

A must for all those into the heavier side of folk rock and those die hard progressive's out there.  Once you've entered the world of Hinterland you'll never want to leave this magical and mysterious land that Wobbler have created.
