Band: Toledo Steel

Title: The First Strike of Steel

Label: Dissonance Productions

This package is so drenched in Iron Maiden that it feels like a throwback to the early 1980s.  From the high pitched falsettos, monster bass runs, dual harmonies and tantalizing solos, this is NWOBHM worship of the highest calibre.

The compositions are well crafted, rugged round the edges and overall sounds like an unfiltered blood, sweat, tears and patches metal anthology. Picking a personal highlight would be like pulling teeth as itís an all killer and no filler affair.

Rare is it to find a band that sounds so familiar, yet so refreshing at the same time. Absolutely stormer from start to finish.
