Independent Release

This is the second self-release from Heaven's Basement, a British heavy metal band.  They mix the fluidity of the genre with skill and showmanship.

The main problem with the album is the generic route taken by the band.  After a promising start, the band then stuck to the tried and tested 'metal' generic formula.  This does not mean, however, that the songs are played with little skill, in fact this is the opposite, with the instrumental and the vocals meshing together to create a tight sound with no off-key moments.

Yet none of the band is really tested.  The vocalist does not leave his considerably smaller range, nor do the guitarists really go for broke and play their hearts out.  This will be popular as in a way it is almost metal lite and more set for those who have recently started to listen to the diverse genre.

There are no real stand out tracks, as they seem to sound very similar, yet a liked moment is the intro to 'Guilt Trips and Sins'.  This is one of the more enjoyable moments.  But the intricate intros do not deliver listenable and enjoyable songs.
