Artist: Enemy Of Thought
   Title: Who The Hell Are...
   Label: Independent Release

Firstly I would like to apologize to Pete for taking so long to review this CD.  Now to the actual review!  Enemy of Thought consist of former Contagious members Pete Frank on guitar and Norman Walker on drums the rest of the band are a mystery to me but I’m sure all will be revealed soon enough.

Enemy of Thought’s sound is as far away from the Melodic rock of Contagious as you could get.  The three tracks on this demo CD impressed me a great deal.  Firstly the sound, the heavy bass and grinding guitar riffs are superb, with the vocals taking on a definite Ozzy undertone.

The opener ‘Who The Hell Are …’ has some amazing tempo changes and is very retro.  Almost Sabbath Bloody Sabbath in its basic structure and the bass lines are some of the best I’ve heard.

The second track ‘I Am’ starts of with a monstrous guitar sound and those immaculate bass riff’s are there again.  This has to be my favourite track of the three.

The final track ‘Purest Form’ starts off slowly but soon quickens with the raw guitar sound of Pete Frank shining through and those stirring vocals simply cry out to you.

Enemy Of Thought have a great future if these three tracks are anything like the rest of their material and I for one look forward to seeing them at Z fest 2006.
