Well it seems like a life time away since the 'Microwave Massacre', you know it was in all the papers and all the news channels. You remember when The Eruptors took to the streets and caused all sorts of manner of mayhem and unleashed a torrent of unbridled unrelenting rock n' roll. Well they're back and back to 'Seduce and Destroy' all that get in their way. Yes the hard rock take no prisoners trio of Jeff Pepsii, Lightin Alex Lee Hooker III and Flamin' Gary de Niro roar back into your eardrums to tear a new exit out your brain. Like an Uzi with a hair trigger, the band are back faster and harder than ever, with their own brand of Punk Metal that will take you by the throat and squeeze every bit of rock out of your mind and body. From the opening barrage of ‘Seven Bridges’, it's clear the band are as loud as proud as ever before and when ‘Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!’ bursts out the speakers, you're left in no doubt that these guys have come to kick some serious aural ass. With a speed infused title track ‘Seduce and Destroy’ that makes the Ramones seem like a progressive rock band and the rifftastic ‘Cannibal Holocaust’, it's full steam ahead and destroy everything in your way with rock as you’ve never heard. The album never eases in pace one iota and like a rampaging rhino with toothache the album continues with monsters like ‘1000% Rock ... Baby’, the furious punko metal of ‘I’m Not Thinkin’, before taking a breather for sombre instrumental ‘Cannibal Reprise’ before the Ramones like ‘Tow The Line’, which brings the tempo back up a tad. ‘Kronos Intro’ is just that, a haunting Hitchcock vibe intro into ‘Captain Kronos’, a track that hits like a baseball bat with a rusty nail in it. This is old school metal done Eruptors style. The album closes with ‘Leaving (On The Wings Of An Eagle)’, just to show the boys have a hard rock side. This is my favourite track off the album purely because it differs from anything else on this release. A mention must be given here to Andy Tilley of Bubblegum Slut fame for the outstanding artwork which is featured throughout this release. Once again he's totally blown the competition away with his artwork on this release. If
you want something more from your rock then take a side step and walk
into the world of The Eruptors, believe me you’ll never look
back. |
