Happy Face are a French band who have taken extreme death metal to another level with the vocals being the focus point of the band.  They use their vocals as another instrument in the making of their unique musical style.

The vocals are just a serious of growls and groans that can only be described as primal in its purest form, and are accompanied by the metal onslaught the rest of the band have put together.

This type of extreme death metal is not to my tastes.  I have listened to metal in most of its forms but this certainly is unique.  This has to be the only album that I have not been able to listen to in its entirety since I started writing.  Whether this is an achievement or not is not for me to say, but Happy Face will be a name that will stay with me for sometime.  Sadly for all the wrong reasons I’m afraid.
