Artist: Hardcore Superstar
Title: Bad Sneakers & Pina Colada
   Label: Music For Nations

This debut album from Swedish sleaze rockers Hardcore Superstar is a true find. With influences such as Motley Crue, Faster Pussycat and LA Guns, this quartet blast out a sound that wouldn't go amiss in the clubs of LA in the 80's.

This is the sound we all loved so much and crave for the return of so much. Guitarist Silver Silver lashes out some great riffs and the vocals of Jocke Berg have an edge of their own. Once heard you've heard this album you would recognise a track by these guys anywhere. If you like the Backyard Babies then you're gonna love Hardcore Superstar. Both bands are rather famous for mixing attitude with an element of fun in all their songs.

To say that some of the tracks off this album could quite easily fit into the UK chart scene should not put you off, but rather encourage you to go into your local record shop and ask to have a listen to this album.

'Bad Sneakers and A Pina Colada' will have you dancing right from the first track, by the time you've listened to this album twice you will find the words of songs such as 'Liberation' etched on your brain like some possessed anthem. If the music industry at large know what's good for them then these chaps should win more than one award for this fine offering.

I look forward to a long and prosperous career by this band. The underground clubs have already picked up on this band and it's only a matter of time before we hear not so much the buzz but more the roar as they break into the scene big time and stare out to us from the covers of all the great rock mags.

To be brutally honest with you there isn't one bad track on this album so go listen to them all!
