Who or what is HIM? Where has this band appeared from?
Very little is actually given away from the album sleeve, you'll have to check out the website if you want to know more about the band.

Basically it consists of 5 mysterious and somewhat romantic musicians. Cloaked in mystery the album contains tracks that would appeal to older rockers and Goths alike. The cover portrays the lead singer in what only can be assumed to be a Michael Monroe type of pose.

On first listening to the album you might be mistaken to think it is average and leave it on the shelf. However if you take it home and listen to it a few times it does actually grow on you. The songs are quite catchy when you get used to them.

'Poison Girl' will appeal to the more outgoing of the Goth brigade, whereas 'Right here in my arms' will appeal more to the rockers amongst us.

The album includes a rather good rock version of Chris Isaak's hit single 'Wicked Game'. One song I never realised had such potential as a rock song until this re-vamp of it. Well worth checking out if only for this song.

Another track that stands out is 'Death is in love with us', quite a rousing track. But it is the sumptuous 'Heaven Tonight' that is a real work of art and sums up the bands image in one.

Interested to find out more? We all are, there are so many questions left unanswered by this band and their debut album that they can't stay in hiding for much longer if they want to pull the punters in.
