This is the first album after over six years of silence from this five piece from Washington. They term themselves as an ‘Anti Christian’ band. Influences include Cannibal Corpse, Hell’s Kitchen and Nile. They aren’t as heavy musically as some of the other bands I’ve listened to recently, but still manage to take the growl and make it musical. Each of the tracks is between 4-6 minutes in length, allowing for a decent showcase of their skills, especially after a six year hiatus. The drummer can be heard throughout, creating a backdrop to which the guitars and bass attach themselves, before the lead vocalist crashes in with his dominating, low powerful growls. The guitars and drums at time do sound like they are battling with each other for supremacy but they fit together neatly. Throughout the album is a definitive thrash presence, and this at times can overwhelm the lyrics, which by listening to the whole album seems to be the intention. This overwhelming instrumental however, is inherently the same yet at slightly different speeds within each track. The vocals can be scarce and relies more on the instrumentals, which is different yet seems to work effectively Review
