Mascot Records have built themselves a reputation for bringing the guitar virtuoso to the forefront of the market place and making them more available to the non-guitar playing public. Another guitarist to be taken under their wing is Italian Fabrizio Leo who started first playing guitar as early as 16 and has since become quite an accomplished session guitarist. This album gives Fabrizio a chance to really shine to a wider audience and get his name mentioned in all the right places. This album is an all guitar release and opens up with at a gentle pace with ‘Total Eclipse’, which highlights just one facet of Fabrizio’s guitar style. Things take a rockier stance with the likes of ‘Metal Bragalini’ and ‘Yeah Vinnie’, a track dedicated to Vinnie Moore who is one of his favourite guitar players, and of course the outstanding ‘Chat’. The album is full of varying mood changes and intricate riffs and arrangements that will no doubt have guitarists all over the world wanting a piece of Leo’s ability. This
may not be an album that will make Fabrizio millions, but it will
certainly keep him in work over the next few years as the offers to play
in various bands are certain to come in. |
