Artist: Lions Share
   Title: Dark Hours
   Label: Blistering Records

Following on from the bands comeback album 'Emotional Coma' Swedish Melodic Metallers Lions Share return with their latest album ‘Dark Hours’.   Once again it's an all guns blazing metal assault from Lars Chriss and the rest of the band.

As with 'Emotional Coma' it's hard hitting metal all the way with frontman Patrik Johansson being the forefront of the Lions Share sound.  His towering vocals dominate the album and with Lars Chriss’s snarling guitar work, this is sure to please everyone who thought 'Emotional Coma' was a great album.

The album opens up with ‘Judas Must Die’, no intro’s here it's straight into the no nonsense sound of the band with Johansson towering vocals making their mark from the off, along with the now familiar guitars of Chriss.

The pulsating metal continues with the colossal ‘Phantom Rider’, again a monster metal track that just ignites and blows you away from the first chords.  Monstrous metal at its best with Johansson showing his darker side on this song.

The band are really pulling out all the stops on this album, with Chriss just burning up the fret board along with the pummeling bass lines of Sampo Axelsson riding shotgun to Johansson’s mighty vocals.

This is a indeed a mighty release as things continue with the massive ‘Demon In Your Mind’ and the heady driven bass of ‘Heavy Cross To Bear’, which is simply magnificent, very 'Holy Diver'.

The album never represses any of the hardened metal of the band with the likes of ‘Full Metal Jacket’ and ‘Barker Ranch’ being the best of the rest.

This album is well worthy of the Lions Share name and knocks spots off the 'Emotional Coma' album and that was a corker of a metal album so to surpass that is quite a milestone in itself!
