Artist:  Machine Head
   Title: Unto The Locust
   Label: Roadrunner Records

This is the seventh album for the heavy metallers from the US.  Having been going now for over 20 years, this is their first release since 2007 and the third with Phil Demmel and Dave McClain as a permanent part of the band.  This album is from a band considered to be one of the pioneering bands of the New Wave of American Heavy Metal, along with Korn, Lamb of God, Pantera and many others.

Typically for Machine Head, the first song of the album starts with an ethereal or just plain different noise from the rest of the tracks.  This time it starts with the haunting chants of either monks or other religious folks and then about halfway through, drops into the forceful thrash metal that we all know and love.

There is nothing bad that I can say about this album.  The guitars, drums and bass work perfectly together with each other and with the vocal that varies in pitch and tone throughout the album.  I feel that this could be considered their magnum opus, the finite piece of work that brings them back to the fore for not only their massive following, but also others.
