Artist: Eric Martin
   Title: I'm Goin' Sane
   Label: Frontiers Records

Eric is probably best known for leading Mr. Big to great heights with the release of the 6 studio albums which between them attracted multi million album sales. In between those 6 albums he still managed to keep going his solo career strong.

'I'm Goin' Sane' is his fourth solo release and as promised he returns to his 'RAWK' roots with an album more diverse than anything he has done before. The press release for this album states ... This CD totally rocks! ... and you know what? I couldn't have put it better myself.

This is such a delight to listen to because it really sounds like Eric and his band are bursting at the seams with energy. Full on adrenalin rush is how it would feel if this CD were an emotion. This is an album that a lot of young bands today could do well to take note of and try to reproduce the spirit of the songs if they want to get record deals and get themselves noticed in the mainstream music industry.

Eric show's there really is life after Mr. Big and 'I'm Goin' Sane' is probably the best work he has ever done in his whole career. If you think how popular 'To Be With You' was when he was singing in Mr. Big, then cock your ears at these gems and enjoy them for all they are worth.

This album is so user friendly that any self respecting radio station would do well to stick it on their rotation schedule for daytime listening. If I was stuck at work and bored stiff with what I was doing then any one of the songs off this album would lift my spirits again and put that spring back in my step.

This album has soooo many highlights on it that I won't even begin to attempt to name them all. However there's a couple of tracks on it that I really do love to bits and they are 'Spaceman' and 'Marie'.  Yeh, so what if they're the musical equivalent of a bowl of Coco Pops.  I think they're great fun, they certainly set me up for the day ahead.

Leave all that serious stuff to the old folk, today's for living and this album puts me in the mood for a party. As the last track on the album says ... 'You're Just What I Needed'!
