Mono Inc are a four piece German gothic rock band (so they sound similar to HIM).  This disc was a promo given at Club Antichrist's Halloween party and features songs from 'Voices of Doom' and 'Viva Hades'.

The slightly more upbeat rock is a definite change from normal gothic rock, and also uses English lyrics against a backdrop of drums, guitar and synth.  The first song, 'Voices of Doom', is from their 2009 album and uses a mixture of male and female vocals to push the song forward – possibly a reverse Nightwish effect, that is powerful yet fragile.

The use of an organ lends a different feel to this quartet.  It is primarily used as either an introductory tool or to provide a backbeat for the not so easily discernible drums, and guitar.  It then takes a second place against the vocals – with some songs taking a battle element between the light and dark/male and female.

The one failing is that many of the songs sound the same, it would be nice to hear something a little heavier or to be able to hear the drums more, but the formula they have seems to work particularly well already.
