Artist: Narnia
   Title: Desert Land

On previous efforts Narnia have been accused of being to Christian in the context of their lyrics. You know what I mean, they tell you how much they love God and Jesus in every line of every song and this approach is very commendable but it also is very cheesy as it shows a lack of originality on the bands behalf.

Well this cannot be levelled at the band this time as they have written some corking tunes with an obvious leaning towards the almighty but this time they have done it an altogether more subtle way.

First song in Inner Sanctum bounds straight in with some serious Dokken style riffing that will have you bobbing along nicely and is followed by The Witch and the Lion which shows the Bands and the guitarist Carl Grimmark's love of all things Malmsteen as the song pounds along at a fair pace with some serious shredding.

This continues until we get to the instrumental might of The Light at the End of the Tunnel, which doffs its cap in honour to the guitar genius of Malmsteen and Blackmore before him.

You just know the old Rainbow albums were out the night before they recorded this one. AWESOME!!
