Breaking
down all the barriers of Glam Rock in Italy we have the infamous Naughty
Whisper. One listen to this CD will whisk you back to a time when
politically correct was when an MP told the truth. This EP slaps you in
the face of good time 80's rock n' roll and is crammed packed with
attitude and style.
Opening up with "Crazy Rebel" this track combines a vocal
style reminiscent of The Quireboys together with some mean sleazy guitar
playing reminiscent of GNR's Slash. Following on from that we have 'All
I Want' which really is 80's glam thru and thru. Catchy chorus and a
good beat keep your feet a tapping throughout.
While 'Fast Love' is pure sleaze at its best, 'Lovin' Twister' turns up
the speed which reminds me of very early Twisted Sister! Just listen to
those screaming guitars and that storming chorus.
The final track 'In my Heart' slows everything right down and the band
show us they may be a bunch of pretty faced glam gods but that they do
have a softer sensitive side to them. Think 'Every rose has its Thorn'
and you'll get a good idea what the style of this ballad is like.
If you have a hankering for glam, sleaze, or just good old-fashioned
rock n' roll, then Naughty Whisper might just hold the key to what
