Artist: Papa Roach
   Title: Infest
   Label: Dreamworks

Well what can I say, just another American rock rap combo. Well not quite, Papa Roach come at you hard and fast. A band with attitude or is that what they want us to believe?

First seen by most people on MTV with the first single 'Last Resort'. If you liked that, then the rest of the album won't disappoint. Having said that I would suggest you have a listen to it before you buy it, as that was the most commercial of all the tracks off the album and may give a false impression of what the rest of the album actually sounds like.

The obvious second release 'Broken Home' delivers more of the same hard bass lines, heavy drums and catchy guitar riffs. This album made it into the top 5 of the USA charts. Which shows that the American market is coming out of it's shell and coming around to the more aggressive sound that is around at the moment.

This album is definitely worth a listen if only to confirm whether you love them or hate them. There's really no middle ground as far as this band is concerned.

One last thing, the album cover is an absolute treasure with a huge close-up of a Cockroach coming out at you. Just what you want to look at after having a meal!

One of the best album covers I have come across over the years, simple and yet very effective. This album deserves to win an award for best album cover of the year if nothing else. Give them a try!
