Artist: Jizzy Pearl
   Title: Vegas Must Die
   Label: Mascot Records

Since his days with Love/Hate Jizzy has always been respected as vocalist and has had stints on vocals with both LA Guns and Ratt, as well as some success as a writer.  More recently he has collaborated with former Guns N Roses drummer Steven Aldler with his highly successful Aldlers Appetite project.  A project which once again has put the name Jizzy Pearl back up in the limelight.  I must admit when I caught Aldlers Appetite on tour recently I must admit I was well impressed with Jizzy's performance.  He sounded vocally more stronger and relaxed in himself that he has in the past.

With this release Jizzy has finally been able to do an album his way and bringing influences that have given him inspiration over the years.   Opening up with 'Hit And Miss' you instantly recognize the high-pitched vocal style that is without equal.  The next track 'True Love' slows things down a touch with its heavy bass lines very Zeppelin in places.

Where as 'Look At You Now' is a very bluesy track, and the enigmatic 'Little Dancer' is a track that just oozes class with the guitar work of Pete Reveen shining through the haze.  The AC/DC influence is very recognizable on 'Lies'. Which just goes to show that this album has so many twists and turns, with each track differing from its predecessor. But it's been put together in such a way that it never seems disjointed and is the sort of album you'll need to listen to a few times to really appreciate its complexity.

Great stuff.
