If on hearing the name 'Pink Cream 69' you conjure up thoughts of spandex, make-up wearing glam rockers, then be prepared for those biased thoughts to be blown away as this is probably the best hard rock album you'll hear all year. Not surprisingly with the band being multi-national, there's an Anglo-European feel to it, with its feet dipping into the early 90's bands influence that was so good back then. The very
Ozzy-esq 'Children Of The Dawn' starts things off and it's a case of
here we go from then on with song after song of "old school"
rock, tracks like 'No Way Out' and 'A New Religion' that wouldn't be out
of place amongst the classics being played at rock nights across the
country, with David Readman's exceptional voice throughout that would
give any of the well known "stars" a run for their money on
any given day, while the rest of the band sound as if they could play
this stuff in their sleep! |
