Artist: Doug Pinnick
   Title: Emotional Animal
Label: Magna Cartna / Mascot Records

Kings X are a name that many bands throw around when they are asked the question who are you musical influences.

Dug has released a couple of solo albums under the Poundhound name which have in the past received mixed reviews from the Kings X die hard fans but have impressed the musical fraternity.
With this release Dug has put the Poundhound ''to sleep'' and this album is pure Dug.

With the exception of the drums, which are played by Jerry Gaskill's son Joey Dug plays all instruments and does all the vocals on the album which only strengthens the fact that this is Dugs animal.
The unmistakable vocals of Dug shine through the album and the high quality of guitar work throughout make this a must buy album.

Every time you put this album you will find something new and something you missed after the last time you put it on the cd player this is mostly due to the variety of composition and musical style on the album.

Tracks of note are the very Jean Beauvoir sounding 'Crashing' and the solemn down beat 'Change' and the bass ridden 'Zepp' has to be heard to be believed.
Those of you who got the Poundhound thing will love this album those die hard Kings X fans should give this album a try you might be surprised.
