The name of Jim Peterik famed guitarist with the mighty Survivor is now reaching new heights with Pride of Lions.  Together with vocalist Toby Hitchcock, the pair have found a winning formula with the Pride of Lions sound and the bands two studio albums have been well received by the whole melodic rock fraternity.

The album was recorded at Lokerse Feesten in Belgium in August 05 in front of a 20,000 strong crowd.  The album showcases songs from the bands two albums, together with feature tracks from Survivor, and a song from Jim’s early days with his first hit ‘Vehicle’.

The first CD containing the live concert opens up with a short introduction in Belgium, before the band launch into ‘It's Criminal’ off the band self-titled debut release 'Pride of Lions'.   Instantly you can recognise that in Hitchcock, Peterik has found a truly great vocalist and together they make a great song writing team, just as many of the songs featured on the album clearly show.

Highlights on the album have to be the stirring ‘Black Ribbons’, the three Survivor songs ‘'The Search Is Over’, Can't Hold Back’, and of course ‘Eye Of The Tiger’, which goes on for over eight minutes and is still a show stopper, and the classic ‘Vehicle’, which really started everything off for Peterik.

The album also features a bonus CD containing seven studio tracks, five of which were only available on the Japanese versions of the albums, and two previously unreleased tracks ‘Reckless Love’ and ‘So Deadly’.

This album will appeal to both fans of Pride of Lions who will enjoy the live version of the songs and is also a good prelude to the DVD of the show that will be available, as well as to Survivor fans for pure nostalgia purposes, plus of course fans of good old fashioned honest song writing and musical ability.
