This
being the second of the current reissues that originally came out in
1988 and Cycle is probably the most sort after as we have been getting a
few calls every week over the last two and a half years asking if I had
a copy.
After the almost prog leanings of the 1st album Cycle saw the band
moving firmly towards a more melodic stance.
Heralded as a classic by almost every melodic site on the net, I have to
agree it is a corker of an album that doesn't sound dated despite being
13 years old.
Highlights have to be the title track and the excellent Asylum and the
rifftastic Frontline which has a ripping groove.
Labels have a tendency to reissue anything not bothering about the
quality of the tunes, I can tell you this time they have unearthed a
classic blast from the past.
