‘Parallel Lives’ is Section A’s follow up to the acclaimed debut ‘The Seventh Sign’ and this time the band have decided to go with the concept album idea on this release. The album remains true to the concept album belief of a story behind the songs as guitar ace Torben Enevoldsen describes as the story of William as “a guy, who by unknown forces gets the gift to travel between parallel universes – yet he is unable to control this traveling. This happens once he falls asleep”. As concept albums go this has to be among one of the best I’ve heard in the past couple of years. Unlike some the story is easy to follow and you don’t feel lost as the plot unfolds. Like
all concept albums this has taken a while to be fully conceived and
unfold. This one has taken nearly 3 years but the resulting album
is well worth the bands endeavors. The album flows well and there
are some fantastic guitar riffs by Enevoldsen throughout the entire
album. If you’re into the whole concept thing then check this
one out. |
