'Before
we go any further it must be pointed out that if you are a die-hard Crue
fan then you will most likely hate this album.
The line-up of artists that pay tribute to these rock legends is quite
impressive. However sometimes you shouldn't mess around too much with
classic rock anthems.
'Piece of your action' is given the techno goth treatment courtesy of
Marq Torien from The Bullet Boys, on what is loosely termed the 'Sigue
Sigue Sputnik' remix. One remix that really caught my attention was 'Too
fast for Love' featuring Taime Downe of The Newlydeads and Faster
Pussycat. Definitely one version that could catch on if released as a
single. Another almost psychedelic trip is 'Stick to your guns' by The
Impotent Sea Snakes.
It has to be said that one of the better remixes however is 'Shout at
the Devil' by Synical.
Other artists featured in this remix tribute are Steve Summers of Pretty
Boy Floyd, Joe Leste of Bang Tango, Rob Chaos of Total Chaos, The
Electric Hellfire Club, Stevie Rachelle of Tuff, Jizzy Pearl of
Love/Hate, Gilby Clarke, and not forgetting Spiders & Snakes.
Hard to tell who this album is aimed at, surely not at the true Crue
fans, more likely to be the techno dance brigade. An 'Interesting'
experience!
