Artist: Slunt
Title: Get A Load Of  This
   Label: Repossession Records

'Get A Load Of This' is the debut album from New York hard rockers Slunt, lead by the hard hitting vocalist and lead guitarist Abby Gennet this four piece are all that rock n roll was meant to be, hard drinking and hard living, their no holds barred approach to music is as refreshing as anything I've heard in a long time.

'Get A Load Of This' is pure rock n roll very reminiscent of Broadzilla mixed with the attitude of our very own Girlschool.

The album itself steams along like a roller-coaster on its way to rock n roll oblivion. The twin lead guitars of Gennet and Pat Harrington mix it up so well you're simply swept along by the debauchery that is Slunt.

Stand out tracks for me are 'OK OK' that’s opens up the album and gives you a feel for the rest of the album with its catchy riffs and memorable chorus lines. 'I Wanna Be Your Only One' is hard hitting track that will leave you breathless with its sheer intensity.

The bass on 'Never Say Never' is just superb and just carries what probably would have been a weak track without it. 'Fast City Girls' warns of the pitfalls of messing with the girls from the wrong side of the tracks. 'The Best Thing' is purebred sleaze rock n roll at its best and my favourite track on the album.

To put it briefly Slunt are the real deal if you want full-blown hard-hitting rock then check them out.
