Artist: Terrarosa
   Title: Terrarosa
   Label: Z Records

Terrarosa is the brainchild of New York based Ed Terry and is the latest act on the Z roster.  Terrarosa was first conceived back in 2003 by Terry who duly sent a demo to Z.  However, it wasn’t until 2004 that the two got together and the fruits of that partnership have finally taken the form of this superb debut album.

Mixing together the best of melodic guitars and Terry's fine vocals you have an album of exceptional quality.  Although the production is a bit questionable at times, the album still delivers where it matters.  Mainly due to the quality of the song writing and the overall arrangement of the tracks.

Stand out tracks include 'Yesterdays Sun' which is a great old fashioned love song.  'Empty Promises' which is just a great ballad.   'Ashes and Dust' which is kind of a mellow and down beat track, and the marvellous 'Lust' which is almost Aerosmith material in its conception.

This isn’t an album that will have you rocking in aisles as it sometimes misses that final spark to take it from a great album to an excellent one, but it is still well worth checking out.
