With the Ozzfest dominating the US metal festival scene for the last few years, in 2005 Megadeth’s Dave Mustane took it upon himself to give the US metal fans an alternative and to quote Dave ... “we want to put together a festival that consisted of positive bands that play heavy music in a high energy environment”.

The six week travelling festival kicked off on 21st July in Fresno California and travelled to 39 cities in the US and Canada finally finishing on 11th September in Portland Oregon.

This two CD package contains not only three primeval live performances by Mustanes Megadeth of ‘She-Wolf’, ‘A Tout Le Monde’ and ‘Kick The Chair’, but also two tracks from some of the most renowned metal acts in history, including the likes of the mighty Anthrax, check out the excellent ‘I Am The Law’, Fear Factory, and Symphony X, but also Dry Kill Logic, Nevermore, Bobaflex and my personal favourites Dream Theater with ‘Panic Attack’ and Life Of Agony’s ‘The Day He Died’.

The inclusion not only one but two tracks from the bands makes this a unique festival package and one that will take pride and place in any metal heads collection.  With this release also being made available on DVD format you're really spoilt for choice which one to choose.
