As usual I find myself playing catch-up as we go into another year so apologies to all the bands who brought out albums late last year, I will get around to giving them my full attention over the next few weeks.

So on with the show, as they say! Released in the latter half of December Vega’s debut release 'Kiss Of Life' brings together Nick Workman and songwriting brothers Tom and James Martin and drummer Dan Chantrey for an album that will take the Melodic Rock crowd by storm.

The album is pure MR through and through from the opener ‘Into The Wild’ right until the closing chords of 'SOS', twelve tracks that not only show what a great talent Workman is vocally, but also the Martin brothers as writing talents.

As it said this album is Melodic Rock at its finest.  As the album gets underway with ‘Into The Wild’ whether it’s the musicianship, or the production work of John Greatwood, or the mixing talent of Dennis Ward, or a combination of all these elements, this album has that class feeling about it.

Stand out tracks of note have to be ’Staring At The Sun’ which has some stirring guitar work from Tom Martins, the touching ballads ‘Too Young For Wings’ and ‘Wonderland’ the U2esque ‘Headlights’, the rockin’ ‘Heart Of Glass’, these are just a few of my favourite tracks off an album that has something for every fan of genre no matter what floats your boat.
