Artist: Wednesday 13
   Title: Bloodwork
   Label: DR2 / Global Music

In conjunction with his latest UK tour Wednesday 13 has released this six track CD as a taste of what’s to come later this year.

This limited edition EP  features six tracks in total.  Two which are previously unreleased songs that didn't quite make the Skeletons album, one cover and a re-recording of a Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13 song and two acoustic versions of tracks taken from last years fabulous Skeletons opus.

First up it's ‘B-Movie Babylon’, this is all out Wednesday without a doubt, nobody comes close to producing this type of Gothic Metal, not even one M Manson.

'Return Of The Living Dead' keeps things tight as it's all-screaming guitars and Wednesday’s unmistakable vocals.

The surprise factor has always been part of Wednesday’s makeup and here the surprise is the thumping rendition of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers ‘Runnin Down A Dream’, which I must say he’s really managed to made his own.

Then it's time for a revamped ‘I Love To Say Fuck’ from the Frankenstein Drag Queens days, a real slice of nostalgia and a great slice of Gothic Sleaze.

Just when you thought Wednesday couldn’t surprise you more he manages to do just that with the two superb acoustic versions of ‘My Demise’, re-titled ‘My Demise B.C.’ and rounding things off with the fantastic unplugged version of ‘Skeletons’ re-titled ‘Skeletons A.D’.  Both simply amazing versions that should make fans of the man buy this EP just for these two tracks alone.  I just hope there’s gonna be at least one of these versions included on the setlist of the tour later this year.
