There's nothing like free publicity and when you consider that Asia have
released their new album this week and are also on tour with Paul Rodgers
the title of this album could not be more apt.
Wetton has drafted in some serious heavyweights to help him out on the
song writing front, Bryan Adams's long time collaborator Jim Vallance
co-write on 3 tracks and the genius of Jim Peterik helps out on the
excellent No Ordinary Miracle.
This is definitely more AOR than the pomp of the Asia opus but should have
the AOR guys wetting themselves in anticipation especially with the
involvement of the already mentioned Vallance and Peterik.
Although Wetton hasn't the strongest voice in the world this form of tune
suites his voice perfectly and is very easy on the ear and he does carry
it off well.
With rumours of him re-joining Asia now dead and buried for the time being
perhaps both parties can get on with what they do best.
