The
mighty Wolfsbane is back!! It's official. Starting off with
'Blue Sky' this infectious number
will have you hooked immediately
from the opening salvo of Steve Danger's drums, you are treated to
a rejuvenated Wolfsbane, and
Blaze Bayley's rising vocals
will have you instantly hooked. Jase
Edwards shreds the guitar on the excellent tongue in cheek 'Teacher', this is Wolfsbane doing what they do best, but in a 2012
style
and I’m loving it … 'Buy My Pain'
comes rushing at you like a speeding bullet train, this
is another track that will stick in your head for
days. You can imagine the band
thrashing out this number in the
studio and Blaze looking over to the rest of the band and saying ... “Yeah
man, we are BACK!!!” ... 'Starlight'
slows the mood down with a nice heartfelt number, giving
you time to catch your breath, before
we pump it up again to the anthemic 'Smoke and Red Light', already a crowd
favourite. An easy to pick up chorus to sing- along and
party like a howling mad shithead too!!! This is a stomper of a song!
It is a fun
number. Totally irresistible with Wolfsbane doing what they always did, and do
best. Next
up is 'Illusion Of Love', something different from what you may expect from Wolfsbane.
A bit
of a duo as Blaze
Bayley and Givi Flynn
sparing this one out and it works really well.
You won’t
be disappointed at all. 'Live
Before I Die' is another sing- along, getting drunk and singing your lungs
out type of song!! ... "I`m gonna Live
Before I die“!! Really
can’t fault anything with this album as
the awesome songs keep coming at you. 'Who Are You Now'
has many connotation’s and is just brilliant. 'Everybody's Looking
For Something Baby' and 'Child Of The Son' are excellent, as we lead up to
personal favourite 'I Did It For The Money', to round up this awesome masterpiece.
After waiting nearly twenty years, and
maybe just maybe, it’s
time for Wolfsbane to save the world with this album. They are damn well
going to try. Let’s see them at Download and head-lining loads of
venues this year, up where
they belong with the rabid howling Mad Shitheads!! |
