When Lana Lane first released her debut album 'Love Is An Illusion' way back in January 1995, little did she realise how long and strong her career would be in the years to follow. This prolific artist celebrates 10 years in the world of modern melodic rock with this anniversary DVD. This performance was captured for all the world to enjoy on the final concert of her 10th anniversary tour at Shibuya O-East in Tokyo in June 2005. With over 20 albums to her name the task of choosing what to include must have been one of the hardest she has had to face to date. Including at least one song carefully chosen from each of her albums, this full show that really showcases the true talent of Lana Lane at it's very best in the live environment. Both the sound and picture quality are simply superb and really capture the essence of the performance. Also included with the DVD is a bonus audio CD of the concert. Even though the first two tracks of the show are missing from it, sadly due to the limitations of CD's, it still retains the unique atmosphere of the show. It also means that you can take the show with you wherever you go. There’s also a video tour diary which includes material taken from their 2005 European tour, and it's nice to see how the band interact with each other both on and off stage.
The DVD contains a wide selection of songs from Lana’s
vast back catalogue and truly captures all her varying musical styles.
A bonus for fans of her music is that this collection actually features
very little overlap with her previously released 'Storybook' DVD. The band
realised how tiresome it can be for fans to see yet another live release
feature similar setlists and have obviously made a very conscious and
deliberate effort not to fall into the same trap so many other bands seem
to fall foul of. |
