MM -Where does the name 'The Begets of Autumn' come from?
Begets we have learned to define from going to church when we was young,
art class in school, and from reading the I Ching The Book of Changes in
connection with creation.
Creation of us and our planet, both in relation to its birth is spring
,its prime is summer , its ripeness is autumn, its decay is winter, and
rebirth and etc ...We are all leafs on trees of life.
We thought of this in 1987, and thought of Begets of Autumns' multiple
true definitions into which are listed on our site. We also found that
thru 1768 to 1916 there is seven known poets that have created poetic
meanings of begeting and autumn in its artistic form.
We have maybe 71 years later to keep the pictured idea alive, so we are
all Begets of Autumn since 1987,since and but we are the band Begets of
Autumn, John O'Hara, Dan Wilk, Harold Planty. LOL
MM - When was the band formed and how did you all meet?
Me and Dan are cousins, and Harolds nickname is Cuzz, lol.
Formed in 1987, we have reformed and regrouped since then. Me {John} and
Dan are the original members and creators. We met Cuzz {Harold Planty} at
this drummer/guitar players' house in Old Hickory Tn, we ask this
drummer/g-player to audition for us, he said yes, but we had this other
drummer that we also needed to audition named Phillip Alred so we just
invited upon ourselves to bring him , so we can audition both drummers.
Well Cuzz was friends with the drummer/guitar player named Chris Marts who
is now Eleven29s' guitar player. Phillip is the drummer on the Keep cd.
But now Harold is our drummer, who was never auditioned that night, who has
been jamming since,1996.
Cuzz has been with us since 10-15-1999. BOAs' 13 birthday and is 10-15 .We
are having a party on BOAs' birthday @midnight(10 14) so go to

MM - Where does the band call home?
We are from Chicago, Harold from New York, but we've been in Nashville for
10 years, they call us Damn Yankees. Nashville will be our home.
MM - Describe your music and who would it appeal to?
Alternative/metal, alternative/metal people
MM - Are you signed/unsigned at present?
We are indie band, we are looking for a deal or a booking agent.
MM - Who writes and composes the songs you perform?
We all create a lot of material, we want to encourage Cuzz to write more. We
all have our parts.
MM - Is all of your music original material or do you do cover versions as
well?
Original with some covers, live only though

Who designs your posters/flyers/CD covers?
Victoria Lisi created the Keep cd cover, Outervisions created the cd
packet itself, John and Cuzz makes flyers you can also look at them at our
site.
MM - What's the worst/best thing about being in a rock band?
Worst is not enough of indie/underground commercial radio nationwide. lol
Best is to keep rocking!
MM - Has the internet influenced the
way the band project their songs and their image?
Not yet, but I think it is a little.
MM - Which band/artist has influenced you the most and why?
Black Sabbath and there originality
MM - What was the last CD that you bought and why?
Ratt because they Roll!
MM - What are your views on the Napster controversy?
We are no part of it, What the hell is Napster?
MM - Lastly, what short phrase would
best describe the bands and its members?
Beget a Net in a Nanno Sec.
