MM - When was the band formed and how did you all meet?
B.E.N.T. was formed in 1995, Brian and I met in 1972 (he is my brother) Ed
was found through a mutual friend. I believe EJ was found answering a
keyboard/singer ad on the net, Ryan was a student along with Brian under
Troy Stetina.
MM - Where does the band call home?
Our Home is Milwaukee, Wisconsin USA
MM - Describe your music and who would it appeal to?
Progressive Power Metal anyone who likes heavy music in general.
The music has been compared to Pantera/Dream Theater/Overkill/Exodus its a
blend of old metal/new metal.
MM - Are you signed/unsigned at present?
We are unsigned at the moment.
MM - Do you have any CD's available right now?
Yes through our website www.bentforce.com we have a merchandise page with
cd's/poster stickers/t-shirts coming soon and did I mention we accept
credit cards?
MM - Who writes and composes the songs you perform?
EJ writes all the lyrics, most of all the new material has come from Brian.
MM - Is all of your music original material or do you do cover versions as
well?
We are 95% original, we have been messing with a couple covers, not many.
MM - How do you decide which ones to perform live and does this influence
which songs you put out on CD?
The songs we have gotten good response from live find there way to the cd
along with what songs we believe are good/strong prog metal tunes.
MM - Who designs your posters/flyers/CD covers?
My cousin Jeff Bolle designed our newest cd. "Eleven" he also maintains
our website.
Smaller jobs like flyers and such EJ usually comes through with those.
MM - Has the internet influenced the way the band project their songs and
their image?
The internet has not influenced the way the band projects itself. It has
been a tool to help promote and reach people we would have never been able
to touch. It's a way to open our smaller world to the rest of the world.
MM - Which band/artist has influenced you the most and why?
Well personally I would have to say, Billy Sheehan has taken bass playing
to a new level, he has done and excelled in different styles of music yet
many people are not aware of him.
MM - What was the last CD that you bought and why?
I have just picked up the new King Diamond. I have always loved his voice,
the new Crimson Glory, Fates Warning. I like to support the music I love
and buying the artists cd makes a demand for the music I love.
MM - What are your plans for the future?
Supporting our latest CD, by playing out, finding management/distribution
painting the earth red with our newest release "Eleven" out this December.
