MM - When was the band formed and who exactly is in it at the minute?
The band was first formed in 1995 when David Ryder-Prangley met up with me
(Will Crewdson) at a Vanessa Paradis gig and the current line-up also
features Shaheena Dax on keyboards and HRH Robin Guy with his specially
appointed stick and skin ensemble.
MM - Describe your music and who would it most appeal to?
Porno Piano Rock from Hell. We want it to appeal to anyone with a lust for
the abnormal and I think it does.
MM - Who or what is Rachel Stamp?
A pink faced/haired/attired dinner lady at David's school.
MM - Sex, Drugs and Rock n' Roll - Myth or a
necessity?
The Myth is a necessity but let's face it - the sex bit's the best.
Without that rock'n'roll would surely die as we can see from the handy
example of Coldplay.
MM - At what age did you start experimenting
with make-up and what was your parents reaction?
There's no use experimenting with it. Just slap it all on and hope for the
best! Both my parents were "in the theatre" so obviously N/A.
MM - What's the most
outrageous thing you've done in the name of Rock n' Roll?
Left the toilet seat up in the ladies toilets at York Fibbers.
7. Which Rock legend alive or dead would
you like to meet and why?
I'd like to meet Steven Tyler and find out just how warped and hilarious
he really is. I'd also like to meet the guy from Coldplay so I could wipe
him off a the face of the planet.
MM - Does anyone in the band have any piercings or tattoos?
I have 2 tatts - Shaheena has three (as far as I can see) and none of us
have any notable puncturings apart from David who has his head pierced.
MM - Do you have any favourite beauty tips to
pass on to your fans?
Don't get lost in the shuffle - simplicity is the food of beautiful
originality.
MM - If you weren't in a rock band, what job would you most likely be
doing?
Full time dreamer.

MM -
Did David Bowie and Iggy Pop really mix the new 'Stampax - Live!' album?
Yeah - they also wallpapered the studio and did catering (Jim and Dave's
Mobile Eats Inc) MM -You are planning some acoustic gigs in
record shops throughout your tour - any details on where these will take
place?
I think we did some - sorry this is so late!
MM - After you die what would you like them
to put on your gravestone?
"Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?"
MM - Any plans on the next studio album?
Right now we're demo-ing new stuff and it's definitely more extreme in
every way. Should be out about Septemberish.
MM -
Lastly, any plans on touring outside the UK?
Yeah - we're going to Germany in March and hopefully Japan at some point
this year but we'll definitely be doing some festivals over here if
they'll have us.
