the band to us. Right now there is Myself Jon Lewis my brother Mark Dye MM - Where do the band call home? We are from Orlando Florida MM - Describe your music and who would it appeal to? American Vocal rock! Classic AOR in a NEW package if you like that kind of music you owe it to yourself to check us out! You won't be disappointed! MM - Do you have a CD out at present, and where can it be obtained? YES, we do its self titled TIMOTHY LEWIS and they can get the FREE MP3s or order a cd from our website at Timothy Lewis Official Website here on the cd we also have the classic Journey song "feelin that way" and couple of new songs too! MM - What band/artist has influenced you the most and why? Journey, They just blended everything so well! Their stuff still stands strong today! And that is a testament! MM - Where do you get the inspiration for the songs you write? How I feel at any given time, I also get songs in my dreams too, I just wake up and ping its there! MM - Do you have any gigs planned at present? Not right now, But we are working on a couple of events coming this winter! MM - Are you signed or unsigned at the moment? UNSIGNED, we are working hard to change that! And your readers can help too! If you like our stuff, send an e-mail to the labels, stations, anybody you can think of it all helps! MM - You've already had some of your music played on the radio, how have the media in general reacted to your music? They have embraced us! Even without the big record co. behind us! I'M not sure everyone knows what it takes to get song on the air! For INDY musicians like ourselves it is virtually impossible, what happened to us was the program director heard it someplace and made the effort to get it played! That was Annie Sommers AT WMMO 98.9 she is one of our biggest supporters! From there it has kind of snowballed. MM - What's your favourite track off the new album? HALEY, it was written for my daughter and it says everything I feel, It's great to think that when she is old and grey that she will still have that from me! And its special because that is the song that has really started the BUZZ about us! We also submitted that song to the new BUSBOYS album. Hey I wouldn't mind if it was on an album that sold 10 MILLION! They (producers) did not unfortunately choose it this time. MM - Is all your music original material or do you do cover versions as well? We do all original stuff except for Journey's 'feelin that way'! MM - If you could take any 5 musicians, alive or dead, to make a supergroup who would they be? GREAT QUESTION! Steve Perry, Simply the best voice ever Eddie Van Halen, The best guitar player ever Dennis DeYoung, the best keyboardist ever Steve Smith/ Neil Pert, drums Timothy Lewis, Bass, I don't play bass but who cares I just had to be on the same stage with these dudes! MM - How would you like to see rock music progress in the new millenium? Great question! I would like to see people that can REALLY play music! Over here it is such a calculated process it makes me sick! Most people that are successful here couldn't carry a tune in a bucket! A lot that is teen stuff like BSI, SYNC, Brittany I am happy for them as people but they are NOT musicians! I mean when I grew up I wanted to play guitar like EDDIE, SING LIKE STEVE, Play keys like DENNIS and get it on the radio! I mean what does a kid do today! UM, I want to dance like lance bass? It's just getting away from the real musicianship of it all! And with the huge success of groups like that, they will jam more of them down our throats until we all collectively PUKE! THIS IS WHY I LOVE EUROPE! YOU GUYS DON'T FALL FOR ALL THAT CRAP! If you like something you like it! You Don't have to be BOUGHT and SOLD! I do think that you will see The stuff we love make a BIG comeback! It has already started! The Internet has helped kick the record company's in the ass! - Hey; we can like what we want! We DECIDE! they don't like that! MM - Who designs your promotional logo's, posters, covers etc? I do, But I'm always looking for someone who wants to do it!
