MM - How is/was the tour with In Extremo?
Max
- It was a great experience to us! Playing in front of thousands of people is exciting, we won many new fans!

MM - How did it feel getting to play across Germany?
Max
- It feels really new to play anywhere else than in our home town. The people are totally new to us. It‘s always interesting to see how people react listening to our songs and watching our show. Nightliner life is also a weird experience to us. You move on to the next town every day so you never have the time to do any sightseeing ;) In fact, you feel like some kind of outcast, always moving and never having the chance to rest. But in a good way! ;)

MM - How did you all first meet and get together to form the band?
Max
- Well, at first I have written and played all the music myself. After having finished recording the album I started looking for fellows who would be performing on stage with me. Niels, our bassist, is an old friend of mine, we already played in another band together. Our guitarist, David, goes to university with me. One day I learned to know him and just asked if he was interested in joining the project. Fortunately he was. And Martin, our drummer, was recommended to me by David as well, as the two played in another band together at that time. Forming the band didn‘t take long at last.

MM - What has influenced you?
Max
- Nature, my own world of thoughts, many different gothic rock and metal bands such as Type O Negative, Sinamore, HIM or Before the Dawn, change, doubt, beauty, ugliness.

MM - Is there anywhere you want to play but haven’t had the chance to yet?
Max
- I would love to play the big summer festivals like Wacken, M‘era Luna or Metal Camp.

MM - Have you met all of your targets/goals for 2011? If not, what haven’t you achieved?
Max
- Sincerely, my biggest dream has come true! I achieved a record deal, I supported one of the most famous German Bands, I have reached so many people with my music! I couldn‘t imagine anything better than that for 2011.

MM - What are your goals for 2012?
Max
- Playing more gigs, reaching more people, writing more songs, seeing more places everywhere in the world, talking to fans, learning to know more bands, getting better all the time.

MM - How long have you been playing together?
Max
- The project Rêverie has been existing for two years now, but the actual band exists since august 2011. This is not a long time, we have practised three times a week, sometimes 12 hours a day. We wanted to reach a professional level in a short time. I think we were successful. :)

MM - How long have you been playing your instruments?
Max
- I am 21 years old right now, I have started playing the piano at the age of 7, bass at 14,  guitar at 17, drums at 15 years of age.

MM - Is the songwriting a shared or individual effort?
Max
- It is completely individual. I write all the songs on my own, it‘s my own creation. Also are the lyrics. Furthermore, I record everything on my own. Doing so I have complete control over my music which is really comfortable.

MM - What does the album’s name ‘Wandel’ mean in English?
Max
-  Wandel is the German word for "change".  I want to show that everything in this world changes all the time. Nothing stands still as it is, as time goes by, everything develops and changes. The whole album is written around this thought.

MM - What has been the pinnacle of your career as a band so far?
Max
- That‘s easy to tell: the In Extremo tour!

MM - What has been your best gig?
Max
- I think Würzburg has been our best gig so far. It was a real blast!

MM - Worst gig?
Max
- Fortunately we have not played really bad gigs so far.

MM - Any words of wisdom or parting messages you’d like to share with our readers?
Max
- If you want to do something totally new, if you want to make your dreams come true, work hard for it. If you REALLY want it, you can do it! Because working hard is the most important thing if you want to create something people don‘t forget.
