Artist:   Rhino Bucket

Date:  28 January 2002

MM - Introduce the band members to us and where do you currently call home?
Georg Dolivo - Vocals, Guitar - Sherman Oaks, Ca
Reeve Downes - Bass - Studio City, Ca
Jackie Enx - Drums - Palm Springs, Ca
Brian Forsythe - Guitar - Eagle Rock, Ca

MM - When was the band first formed and how has it evolved to its current status?

Formed in 1987 in Van Nuys, Ca by Georg Dolivo and Greg Fields.  Signed to Warner Bros. Records and EMI Music in 1989. Released 2 albums on Reprise/Warner and 1 on Moonstone Records.  Broke up in 1994.  Georg and Reeve in short lived band with Brian, 1999.  Reformed Rhino Bucket in 2001 with Brian (x-KIX)

MM - Your music has often been likened to that of early AC/DC. How do you feel about that and would you say this is an accurate description of your music?

AC/DC were big heroes of ours. Straight-ahead to-the-point music. We just played what we felt.  The back alleys of Van Nuys are not all that different from the streets of Sydney. All comparisons are pure flattery to our ears, although there's five of them and only four of us.

MM - What bands/artists have influenced you over the years? Who were your idols?

Every single note of music has made me feel something, i.e. Motorhead - Good, Destiny's Child - Bad

MM - The band seemed to drop out of the music scene just at a time when they were starting to get noticed. What were the main reasons for this? Was it to do with all the changes rock was undergoing at the time?

We wanted to end the band as friends, before the shit hit the fan as it were. It had more to do with keeping the band pure than anything pertaining to the music scene.
Remember, we were doing our thing in Los Angeles when every mother's son was trying to be Guns and Roses or the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

MM - The band reformed back in 2001 and was this again due to the changing face of rock music?

No, it had to do with just wanting to play good fucking rock without all the whining. Like a fat biker, we will never change.

MM - The band have been rumoured to be working on a new studio album. Can you tell us a little bit about how that's going and when we can expect its release?

We're currently recording and writing a shit-load of songs, but as we speak there is no record company involved.

MM - Who are you using to produce your new album and have you decided on a name for it yet?

We'll produce it ourselves, we've been doing this well enough and long enough all ready.

MM - Will you be touring once the album is released and will your European fans get a chance of some shows as well?

Let's see what the record company says.

MM - What band would you most like to tour with if given the choice?

I would love to tour with AC/DC to end all the pissing contest between a certain group of fans.

MM - Which part of the show do you look forward to the most?

All of it, I fucking love playing live.

MM - How can people find out about what's going on with the band and where you'll be performing?

Go to
www.rhinobucket.com

MM - Which Rhino Bucket song is your personal favourite?
Swinging with Sally, I wrote that about the owner of Devonshire Studios in North Hollywood, Ca. She's a real bitch, and I say this 12 years later.

MM - What do you think the fans reaction will be to your newer material? How does it compare with that of your previous albums?

We are what we are, we'll never change.

MM - What's the most memorable concert you've been to (other than your own) and why?

I used to (and still do occasionally) drink like a fish, so I don't really remember any concerts.

MM - What other bands have the members of the band appeared in other than Rhino Bucket?

Brian was in KIX

MM - Are you superstitious? Is there anything you do in particular before a recording session or gig for good luck?

No, I'm just there just for the loud guitars.

MM - Would you describe yourself as an optimist or a pessimist? Is your glass half full or half empty?

My glass is always full my dear, much to the dismay of the local police, my ex-wife, my current wife and just about anyone else I've come across.

MM - Tell us one thing about yourself that not many people know.

At 17 I was in the Army of Finland, Anti-Armor Infantry.

MM - Lastly, is there anything you would like to say to all your fans out there?

I will do everything and anything to make to your club and play the songs you want, just give me a little chance.
