MM - Introduce the band members to us.
Jim Swink on the Guitar, Bass, Vocals
And yours truly Joe D'Angelo Bass, Drums, Guitars, Keys and Vocals

MM - When was the band formed and how did you all meet?

The band was formed in 1996 as the name Wolf-Spider! but we had a different drummer at that time and had played under other names in the past.

The lineup that we have now has been together from 1998 We've all known each other for many years from playing in other bands And going to see each other perform. We all also grew up in the sane town.

MM - Where does the band call home?

Home is Washington DC (We all grew up in a town just north of the City (Wheaton Maryland) I (Joe) moved back to the city but the others still live in Wheaton.

MM - Describe your music and who would it appeal to?

We've been told we sound allot like Black Sabbath.  Old School heavy Metal. Believe it or not, the young crowd seems to like us allot, 13 - 21 and then again the old school metal heads of course.

MM - Are you signed/unsigned at present?

Unsigned

MM - You have a new CD out called 'Auntie Venom', tell us a little bit about it and how it can be obtained?

It's a CD single with 4 tracks and, you can get it on the Net at www.mp3.com/wolfspider or at the Tower Records in Rockville Maryland. There are 2 other CD singles too, each with 4 tracks each. Wolf-Spider! And EAT Like A PIG!

MM - Who writes and composes the songs you perform?

The first 2 CDs were the work of myself and the guitar player (Joe and Jim).  The latest release is a combined effort from all of us.

MM - Is all of your music original material or do you do cover versions as well?

All the CDs are originals; we do however do some covers from time to time at our live shows. We try to do our own arrangements to give the song a new flavour.

MM - How do you decide which ones to perform live and does this influence which songs you put out on CD?

We try to play songs that have power and groove and won't put you to sleep.

We have put some songs on the CDs that we might not play live because of the mood or tempo we want to set for a live show. But let it be known that every song on our CDs has been played live at one time or another.

MM - Who designs your posters/flyers/CD covers?

We all chip in on that as well as fans and friends.

MM - What's the worst/best thing about being in a rock band?

Worst: When we fight and disagree.
Best: When it all comes together and we get that Groove and the crowd goes crazy!

MM - Has the internet influenced the way the band project their songs and their image?

No I don't think so. The Internet does help promote us but we try to stay true to our own self's.

MM - Which band/artist has influenced you the most and why?

For me its Black Sabbath, to quote Toni "I just never get sick of it".   The others like everything from metal to Kid Rock. I also like Jazz alot.

MM - What was the last CD that you bought and why?

Black Sabbath Reunion (need I say more)

MM - What are your plans for the future?

Just like I always say "Keep On Rockin' ".  We of course want to get a good recording deal but if we don't I want to keep playing live shows as much as possible.

MM - Lastly, what short phrase would best describe the bands and its members?

Good music, good attitudes.
