2009
has been another fabulous year for live gigs, CD
releases and all sorts of other Rock &
Metal related news. We catch up with some of the
artists we all know and love to find out what
2009 meant to them, and also what plans and
aspirations they have for 2010. Here's
what they told us ...

2009
has been a very busy year for me and I am
looking forward to the break this Christmas.
I only returned from Norway yesterday
morning from playing gigs in the Arctic
Circle. TNT haven't been that busy this
year, because we've all had other
commitments. I think in all, we played
around 30 shows and lent some time to
writing new material, but that has not been
recorded as yet.
At
the beginning of 2009, I started work with
Michael Voss on 'The Voices Of Rock' album
with a track called 'In The Heart Of The
Young'. This was closely followed by some
recordings with Torben Enevoldsen; I wrote
two tracks for the Acacia Avenue album. By
spring I was coming close to finishing
writing an album for a Welsh AOR band
called Serpentine and that was mixed
and mastered in the Midlands, the album
being called 'A Touch Of Heaven'; we
completed video shoots for this record in
Manchester last week.
Robby
Boebel from Frontline in Germany was my next
task, to write and complete an album for the
Nuremberg rockers and then perform it in
Germany as well. This is a strong record
called 'A Point Of Destiny', and comes out
in January through AOR Heaven in Munich, as
does the Serpentine album in March.
I
have also worked with lesser known artists
in the UK and Greece and that is still
ongoing.
Throughout
the year I have endeavored to continue with
the new SHY album, although I haven't
managed to get very far as yet.

January
sees me co-recording with Douglas Docker
from Italy on his prog rock sci-fi
masterpiece 'Dockers Guild' with other
singers like John Payne.
There
is talk of a new album from TNT in the New
Year, which remains undecided so far.
So,
we shall see how 2010 kicks off and
basically run with it !!!!!
Merry
Christmas and a happy New Year to all your
readers.

Logue / Eden's Curse
2009
in Review
2009
has been an immensely successful year for
Eden's Curse with a few more crosses on the
pages of our Wish Lists. Will it ever stop ?
The year started with us continuing to promote
our sophomore album The Second Coming as we
recorded a promotional video for our song
"Angels & Demons" which was notching
over 200,000 hits on Myspace. Pulling this
together was by no means an easy feat as all
the guys and Pamela Moore (Sister Mary from
Queenryche's Operation Mindcrime albums) are
spread all over the globe. All armed with a
camera each we discussed our locations and
roles and then shot our own footage. Our
tapes were then sent to Austria for Bernhard
Kellerer and his team at Transistor Pictures
to put it all together. We were delighted with
the final outcome.
We then headed out on our first ever Tour with
Finnish Power Metal LEGENDS Stratovarius and
the extremely cool Firewind as support. We had
six great shows around the UK & Ireland
including an unbelievable show in my home town
of Glasgow. We got on famously with the guys
in Firewind and have made some lasting
friendships there ... and Gus G. ends up
playing with Ozzy ... fantastic!
This was a real milestone for Eden's Curse
because, being formed on the internet and
recording this way we had never even been in a
practice room together EVER. So for us, we
were getting to play these songs together for
the very first time. People always tell
us "It can't be done". Saying that
makes us more stronger.
Sadly though, the tour revealed that things
weren't working out with our keyboard player
Ferdy Doernberg (Axel Rudi Pell / Rough Silk)
and on return from tour he was fired from the
band. The hunt began to find a replacement and
we were delighted to appoint Alessandro Del
Vecchio as the newest member of the band
several weeks later.
We headed back to the UK some two months later
for an appearance at the Bloodstock Open Air
festival, headlining the second stage. This would
be Alessandro's first show with the band. The
show for the band was mixed, as the onstage
sound was the worst we'd ever experienced
since many of us first started playing
live eons ago. By all accounts the sound out
front wasn't the best either, however the 500
or so crowd who'd crammed into the tent to see
us made it all worthwhile and we spotted many
Eden's Curse T-Shirts and people singing along
to every word. A definite highlight for me
being the songwriter!
We released Condemned To Burn - The UK Tour
Collection EP, which is a special fan release
via our label Metal Mayhem Music in the USA.
As a way of saying thanks to them for
supporting us on the Stratovarius tour we
pulled together some exclusive demos from our
archives, including some live tracks and a
special acoustic version of "Sail
On". This was released on 30th November.
Finally we returned AGAIN to the UK in
December to tour with Alestorm and The Rotted,
plus two headline shows and appearance at Hard
Rock Hell III. All of the shows were a
resounding success for the band, and the
morale in the camp right now is absolutely sky
high. Great vibes offstage and onstage with
everyone enjoying each others company
tremendously and loving the music. A real team
effort. We met many cool fans, some old and
some new, and kicked ass onstage every night.
Highlights were definitely Grimsby, Hard Rock
Hell, Sheffield (were we got an encore),
Glasgow and Nottingham.

I've
now started work on writing the new album
"Trinity" and expect it to be
written Jan-Feb. Our aim is to start
recording around March / April with a planned
release in Autumn 2010.
There are many changes going on in the
business side of the band, and we are
extremely happy with all that's being set in
place for cementing the long term future of
Eden's Curse.
We anticipate many more live shows, with the
focus being firmly placed on Central Europe,
USA and Japan for next year. However, as we
have found out every single year, without
fail, since forming just under four years ago
.... something always lands on our laps that
changes our plans. So we'll wait and see what
happens.
A big Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to
everyone who has supported Eden's Curse in
2009 ... we look forward to bringing you all
more delights in 2010.
Stay
Cursed,
Paul

2009
was a weird year for TTB.
We
were in a pretty good position after
the success of our album "Welcome To
America" and our U.K and European Tours.
March
'09 saw the release of "Straight
Up"...an album full of new, heartfelt,
raw, hard rocking songs featuring our new
vocalist Keith Slack doing a fine job, Val
Trainor throwing down some massive grooves,
myself playing some of my best (IMO) solos
thus far and a collaboration with the
supremely talented Don Airey!
Definitely
a highlight of my career to date!
Most
of the reviews talked at length about how we
did not sound like Rainbow anymore...which was
pretty confusing, because we never thought we
did before anyway! Oh well?
We
did not tour in 2009 due to the economy
amongst other things, but a show opening for
Uli Jon Roth was fun and the band with new
keyboard player Bruce Connors on board never
sounded better.
Added
to that, feedback from fans far and
wide regarding the "Straight Up" album
was overwhelmingly positive.
We
thank you all from the bottom of our hearts
for your continuing support.
See
you all Next Year,
Taz,

I
always end every year by taking stock of how
good or bad the years was and how i can
make the next one better.
2009
was strangely enough my best year ever which
is a big irony considering that the music
world is in a worse state than it's ever been
and the economy is messed up all over the
world.
But
I've worked more than 150 albums, a couple of
major Hollywood movies and US TV shows,
received more than 10 gold and platinum
awards, had my first top 5 album in USA (David
Archuleta from American idol went to
number 2 and sold gold in USA), I've toured Europe
and USA with Dan Reed plus played live with
Robin Beck, House Of Lords, Jeff Scott
Soto and many others.
I
did a big European tour with guitar clinics
for the first time in my life and I've
got my first signature guitar coming out early
next year for VGS guitars.
On a very sad note we lost our dear brother
Marcel Jacob and he will be missed
dearly.

At
the start of 2009 we decided we really wanted
to push forward with the band, Merylina had
just joined the band the past November as our
2nd guitarist, and we wanted to
make a go of it in 2009. In March we recorded
a live album at our local venue Mr Kyps, this
was the start of the push. We have had a great
year and achieved a lot. We performed a live
session on Total Rock, we were interviewed on
BBC Radio 5 Live, we played gigs all over the
UK
. Played at the Yellowstock in
Belgium
, played 2 tours of north
France
, played a theatre show in
Italy
and in July we were endorsed by Daisy Rock
guitars. We also managed to bag ourselves
endorsements with Vintage Guitars and Godin.
In October we filmed our first ever music
video to our song SO UNKIND, it took 5 days to
film, on 5 different locations and is well
worth a look. It has girl’s for the boy’s,
and boy’s for the girl’s, it’s a rocking
tune and looks bloody excellent!! We also
managed to get So Unkind as the theme tune for
the
UK
’s number 1 pro wrestling radio station
Ministry of Slam.
SO
UNKIND VIDEO!!

This
year we intend to carry on with pushing the
band more so. At the start of 2009 we started
off with nothing but we achieved a lot so who
knows where we will be this time next year. We
plan to play in Europe again this June as well
as an impressive list of gigs we have booked
all around the
UK
up until December 2010 at venues such as the
Liverpool O2 Academy and the Bournemouth O2
Academy. We have also been booked to play part
of the Legends of Rock tour.
We
will also record a studio album in which will
be released later in the year.
Lawrence
will also be a new co host on Ministry of Slam
Radio 2010.
