Electric Boys was formed as a duo in 1988 in Stockholm, Sweden by Conny Bloom (guitar and vocals) and Andy Christell (bass) and got a hit song right away with the track "All Lips N' Hips" after which the members Franco Santunione (guitar) and Niclas Sigevall (drums) were recruited. The band dropped down like a bomb in  contemporary pop-Sweden with its headstrong mixture of groove, Beatles-phsychedelia and heavy guitar riffs and in 1989 they released their critically acclaimed debut Funk-O-Metal Carpet Ride.

Funk-O-Metal Carpet Ride was later released internationally including five new songs produced by monster-producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Mötley Crüe etc.).

Electric Boys toured tenaciously in Europe and in the U.S. where they were climbing the Billboard list while “All Lips N’ Hips” was set on heavy rotation on MTV.

In Sweden the band had a huge hit with the song ”För Fet För Ett F**k” (To Fat To F**k”), a song which was specially written for the now late comedian Micke Dubois. The single sold platinum and made it to nr. 1 on the prestigious Swedish Tracks list.

1992 the follow up album Groovus Maximus was released. The album was recorded in the legendary “Beatles studio” Abbey Road in London and the band continued touring mainly in the U.S.A., Great Britain and Sweden.

1994 the album Freewheelin’ was released and the members decided to dissolve the band soon after with a farewell concert in their hometown Stockholm.

After four years playing with Hanoi Rocks, Conny Bloom and Andy Christell decided to reunite Electric Boys in the beginning of 2009. They released a “Best Of” album in the spring and played at the famous Sweden Rock Festival on June 5th. The band, which nowadays consists of the original line-up from the late 80’s, performed at several festivals in Sweden, Finland and England during the summer and finished off with touring clubs in Sweden in September.  In December Electirc Boys supported Alice Cooper.
